Our story, mission, and community focus

Bundles & Bloom CIC exists to nurture and support pregnant women and parents with babies under two in Lambeth and surrounding South London communities, with a particular focus on Black and minoritised families.

Our story

How Bundles & Bloom began

In the heart of our community, at a time when many families were facing growing challenges and isolation, one idea began to take root: care, connection, and kindness can help families bloom again.

Bundles & Bloom CIC began with a simple vision to support families through practical help, emotional support, and community connection. From care bundles for parents to workshops and creative sessions, every part of our work is designed to help families feel seen, supported, and empowered.

What began as small acts of kindness has grown into a nurturing community initiative that brings families together, fosters wellbeing, and creates spaces where parents and babies can thrive.

Our mission

Nurture, connect, and empower families in the earliest years

Through culturally responsive, non-clinical services, we build parental confidence and community wellbeing by reducing isolation, providing practical resources, and creating spaces for connection and growth.

Mission statement

Every parent and child should feel valued, connected, and empowered

We believe that when families have bundles of support, communities bloom.

Our values

The principles behind our work

Everything we do is shaped by empathy, collaboration, trust, and the belief that families already carry strengths worth building on.

Care

Compassion

We approach every family with understanding, empathy, and warmth.

Together

Community

We believe families and neighbourhoods grow stronger when support is shared.

Trust

Integrity

We work transparently, ethically, and with accountability to the people we serve.

Growth

Empowerment

We help families recognise their strengths and build confidence in their own journey.

How we work

Simple, respectful, and community-led

Our approach is shaped by what families tell us they need and by a commitment to accessible, strengths-based support.

Local

Community-centred

We are led by and accountable to the communities we serve.

Culture

Culturally responsive

We honour diverse family structures, beliefs, and lived experiences, especially within Black and ethnic minority communities.

Strength

Strengths-based

We do not try to fix families. We build on the resilience and knowledge they already have.

Open

Accessible and inclusive

We work to remove barriers so families feel they belong from the moment they arrive.

Kind

Compassionate and non-judgmental

We meet families where they are, without stigma, pressure, or shame.
